New Unit?!?!

Tomohisa Yamashita and best friend Toma Ikuta may be forming a new unit called “Iku & Pi” a.k.a. “the ikemen unit.” Well at least just for one night.

Yamapi who just finished his first solo concert at Yokohama Arena, had one his best friends make a special guest appearance during the second half of the show and they instantly formed “the ikemen unit.”

Both of them joined Johnny’s Entertainment in 1996 and became really close friends. So when it was decided that Yamapi was to have his first solo concert, he immediately called Toma and asked him to make an appearance.

“It’s like a dream come true to have both of us on the same stage,” Yamapi stated, and with a happy smile, “It was like going back to our JR. days.“

The last time they were both on stage was seven years ago when both Yamapi and Toma were part of Johnny’s Jr.

Bloody Monday 2

The sequel to the dorama series "Bloody Monday" finally got confirmed via the newest edition of the Shonen Magazine. They are currently publishing the 2nd season of the manga and put up a 1-page ad confirming that the sequel is underway and will start airing in January.

The main cast will basically stay the same except for a few. Confirmed so far are Miura Haruma, Sato Takeru, Kichise Michiko, Matsushige Yutaka, Ashina Sei, Kawashima Umika, Narimiya Hiroki, Kurokawa Tomoka, Takashima Masahiro and Yoshizawa Yuu.

With this there are only a few free slots left for the upcoming season. Netizens are speculating that Shinohara Ryoko might get a shot at the Wednesday 10pm slot on NTV, but those are mere speculations without any evidence. Ueto Aya has been in the talks for that time frame as well. Another interesting dorama spot is going to be Tuesday 9pm on Fuji TV. Eikura Nana is leading the speculations, whether that’s going to be as the starring actress or the heroine. A recent single post on 2ch made some blogs believe that she might take a part in a Japanese adaption of popular Korean drama "Coffee Prince" next to Tamaki Hiroshi, but so far there’s only one anonymous post supporting this rumor. Whatever it will, it’s definitely going to be a season packed with many nice actresses, don’t you think?

Yamada Ryosuke's Lead role

Yamada Ryosuke (16) from Hey!Say!JUMP will play his first lead role in a drama that will start airing next January (Saturdays at 9) on Nippon Television.

'Hidarime Tantei EYE' was aired as a tanpatsu in October. Yamada plays a junior high school student (Tanaka Ainosuke) who receives a corneal transplant from his elder brother. He then starts getting flashes from the new eye that led him to face off against a criminal organization.

Yamada commented,"I was very happy when I knew that I was to play Ainosuke again. I hope to make filming go smoothly with the help of the other actors. When I read the script and get to the unexpected endings, I think "I was tricked!". This time the stories will develop towards more unpredictable conclusions. I hope everyone will accompany Ainosuke as he gets embroiled in more cases and mysteries!"

Yokoyama Yu (28) and Ishihara Satomi (22) will also return.

Tokujō Kabachi!! Kabachitare! 2

Masako Ohara of the Kuwabata Ohara comedy duo has revealed in her official blog on Monday that Takashi Tajima and Takahiro Kochi's Tokujō Kabachi!! Kabachitare! 2 workplace manga will be adapted into a live-action drama series next January. The story centers around the employees of a legal document firm.

Ohara herself will appear in the first episode, while the main cast consists of Sho Sakurai (Honey and Clover, Yatterman) of the Arashi musical group and Maki Horikita (Always: Sunset on Third Street, Professor Layton and the Eternal Diva).

Tokujō Kabachi!! Kabachitare! 2 has been running in Kodansha's Weekly Morning magazine since 1999, and there are now 18 compiled book volumes published. Both the Tokujō Kabachi!! Kabachitare! 2 manga and the original Kabachitare! manga are the creations of Naniwa Kin'yudo creator Yuuji Aoki. The original Kabachitare! manga has already been adapted into a live-action television drama series in 2001 with a different cast and an average 19.3% rating. Naniwa Kin'yudo was adapted into two live-action television drama series in 1996 and 2007.

The Tokujō Kabachi!! Kabachitare! 2 television series will premiere in January on Japan's TBS network.

GACKT Reveals Real Age

The singer GACKT has finally revealed his real age. It happened during the press conference held in Tokyo for the stage production '眠狂四郎無頼控 / Nemuri Kyoshiro Burai-hikae' in which he plays the lead role for the first time. At the beginning of a video segment introducing the outline of the project, his age was given as 'to turn 37 years old in 2010'. Afterwards during the Q&A session reporters asked if it was the first time GACKT told how old he was. He smiled wryly while replying "A long while ago at a concert, on a whim I said I was born in 1540. Somehow that became my official year of birth. Since then I couldn't find an opportunity to correct it. I wasn't keeping my age a secret or anything."

As the main character Nemuri Kyoshiro of the 'Nemuri Kyoshiro' series GACKT will appear in various media. The stage production written by Koyama Kundo is the first in line of the 'NEMURI×GACKT PROJECT'. After the theater version of 'Nemuri Kyoshiro', the combined character 'NEMURI×GACKT' will be featured in manga, anime, video-games and film.

From summer GACKT has been in the process of losing 10 kilos for his role. "Up until the summer I had been building up my body in order to stay healthy during the tour. But I've put on too much muscle for my role, so I've since shed 5 kilos. I'm trying to lose 5 more kilos to make a body sharp as steel, one that will hurt you if you touch. Just like a swordsman [Nemuri Kyoshiro is a master with katana]."

Tokei Jikake no Umbrella

So I watched the first two episodes of 0 Go Shitsu no Kyaku and was amazed. I loved it. And the theme song! OMG
Im not gonna spend time babbling but I loved it right away and cant wait for it to be released as a clear full version.
But I did happen to find a full verson just not that clear but hey you get what you can get.
I believe that the PV [of there is one for it] will be amazing!

When I first heard it on the show I thought it was just like a solo song by some random person. But I heard MatsuJun and knew right away it as Arashi. I went in panic mode. Lol. It's really good, and its already suck in my head =]

Johnny's Jr. Youngest Group ever

Johnny's Jr. member Morimoto Shintaro will play his first ever lead role in the upcoming movie 'スノープリンス 禁じられた恋のメロディ / Snow Prince Kinjirareta Koi no Melody [lit. 'Snow Prince Melody of Forbidden Love']'. The main theme song for the film titled 'スノープリンス / Snow Prince' will be sung by 'Snow Prince Gasshodan'. ['Gasshodan; 合唱団' means 'choir'.] They will release their debut CD on December 2nd. The limited period group is made up of 11 Johnny's Jr. members and will perform until January next year. The oldest member Kishimoto Shintaro is 13, while the youngest is 8 year old Chino Aoi. Four other members are 9 years old, so half the group is younger than 10. With an average age of 10.5, they have become the youngest group in Johnny's history. The previous title holder was Nakayama Yuma w/B.I.Shadow which debuted in April. Their average age was 14.6 at the time they released their debut single, so Snow Prince Gasshodan 'won' by a large margin. The 11 members appeared wearing matching tuxedos and sang their debut song. Their 'pop opera' song used Debussy's 'clair de lune' as a motif. Debussy's masterpiece was also used in the film. The lyrics were written by playwright Nojima Shinji. The members who haven't yet reached puberty sang in high-tone voices, and the 200 fans warmly cheered them while calling out "Kawaii! [可愛い; cute]" During the photo session 12 year old leader Morimoto made the nervous younger members such as Chino relax by telling them "Come on, smile cheerfully!" Morimoto also revealed his thoughts about the group. "We rehearsed and played together. It was fun because it felt like I was with friends at school. [Since it is a limited period group] I hope we can get together again 10 years from now." The group's average age 10 years in the future will still be...20.5. A truly young group has been born.

KAT-TUN's thoughts on Akanishi's Nude Pictures

Even though I should be doing my English homework [reading a book], or praticing my Japanese. I decided to check out some news and see whats going down! [Haha Im sucha  loser.] Here's something that Slightly interested me. Stuff about Jin's Nude pictures. Honestly I didn't really like them, but hey, whatever flows!

A while ago KAT-TUN member Akanishi Jin appeared in a fashion magazine posing fully nude in suggestive scenes with a foreign woman. The photos were very popular among fans. “They were very sexy!!” “[Akanishi] has gone to where no other Johnny's member had gone to before. It could only have been done by Jin.” In a recent broadcast of the radio program ‘R-One KAT-TUN' the members themselves talked about the pictures. The subject was brought up when the members read out a question sent by a fan. “Have you seen Akanishi-kun's nude photos? Did Ueda-kun get excited?” Nakamaru asked Ueda “Have you seen them?” Ueda replied “Akanishi showed them to me. When Akanishi asked me ‘Did you take a look at the photos?' I said ‘No.' He was carrying around the magazine with the nude photos in his own bag. He pulled it out and showed them to me like ‘Here, have a look.'”
Akanishi's fellow members more or less praised the photos as well. “I guess they're okay.” “They were sexy.” “Actually, I thought they went beyond sexy.” “He's always pushing the boundaries.” Fans are looking forward to seeing Akanishi continue trying all sorts of different things.

I was thinking about posting them, but decided against it since...yeah. I'll leave that up to some other person or a die hard fan. Sorry guys.

I know this is completely irreverent, but The book I'm currently reading...well one of the books, the one I'm going to do my project on is 'Memoirs of a Teenage Amnesiac' And when I picked it up I was like "Omg! There's gonna be a movie!" And sure enough there is,with Matsuyama Kenichi. I think it's due to be out sometime in 2010, but since there will be American and Japanese actors/actress in it, I believe that they will release it in America too [least I hope so] Either way this movie is going on my list of Must see movies of the year for me.

My Girl

I saw the first episode of Aiba-chan's My Girl last night. And I loved it. Can't wait for the next episode. This is a sign that the 2009 fall season of dramas is going to be very good. Unlike the summer season, which was very lacking if you ask me.

You could really feel the emotion in My Girl, I almost cried at the end of episode one I loved it so much, I see good things for this drama. =]

I was also finally able to see the last epsiode of Smile. I was so....! I have no words to describe it, but it was amazing! This role, that was obviously different for MatsuJun was by far one of his best, if you ask me. I loved him in this more than I loved him in...HanaDan! And I loved him in HanaDan, but the nice guy role for him is really good! =]

In the last episode when he gets back, adn see's Hana-chan...I was like 'Oh!!! Oh oh oh!!! OMG!!!! Something sweet is gonna happen!!' I made a bigger deal outta it in my head than I needed too...but still! It was good.

When you see him with the short hair at the end, I see glimpse of A younger MatsuJun, from like the Kindachi Shonen no Jikenbo time. Or even before that, all he needs is his Toothy Smile we love so much and it would be perfect. ><

And lastly I watched Hirdarme Tantei EYE the other day as well. It was good. But the ending....was questionable if you ask me. I was expecting more. The ending makes you think that theres gonna be like an actually drama series or something, not that Im complaining, I would lave for that, need more Yama-chan than we've had in the past year.

Yokoyama's role in the end did not suprise me in the least. I was honestly expecting some type of twist  for him, since the last...3? things Ive seen him in hes played the bad guy. Go Yama-chan for figuring it out!! But poor Yama-chan for having to deal with all that pain.  Still, Yokoyama is a good actor...Im just not a fan.

I loved Yama-chan's random anger moments in this one, the best I've seen of him yet, espically the Tantei side! Though he wasnt much of a Tantei. Keep trying...Tantei-san.

Sakurai Sho Docudrama

Arashi's Sho Sakurai (27) will play the lead role in a documentary drama special about the Great Hanshin earthquake in 1995. The program is tentatively titled "Hanshin-Awaji Daishinsai Kara 15 Nen: Kobe Shimbun no Nanokakan ~Hisaichi ni Ikita Kishatachi no Tatakai~" and will air on Fuji TV next year.

Also known as the "Kobe earthquake," the massive earthquake struck the southern Hyogo prefecture on January 17, 1995 and resulted in more than 6,400 casualties. The drama will focus on the reporters working for the Kobe Shimbun, who were determined to keep the newspaper running without interruption, despite the damage suffered during the earthquake.

The characters in the drama will all be based on real people, using their real names. Sakurai stars as the photo reporter Tomohiko Mitsuyama, who had joined Kobe Shimbun four years before the earthquake. The show will also have documentary segments such as interviews, including an appearance by Mitsuyama himself.

Fuji TV will broadcast the show in January 2010, which will be the 15th anniversary of the earthquake.
